Like our logo, the Phoenix, Asheville Steel rose from the ashes of the Paragon Cutlery Company. At one time Paragon Cutlery offered some of the finest automatic and manual knives in the country. Through reasons only known to the owners, Paragon as it used to be ceased to exist. Because it was located in western North Carolina the owners of Asheville Steel saw a great opportunity to continue with some of their more popular designs. So along with people like Gil Hibben and Blackie Collins, Tommy Lee, Larry Harley and Randall King, Asheville Steel has picked up the mantle once again to bring a line of custom production knives back into the mainstream. With offerings from some of the finest manufacturers in North Carolina along with the great knife makers from Seki Japan, Paragon Asheville Steel is here to bring some of the highest quality cutlery possible.
